Basic Guides in Art, Economics, Language and Literature, Math, and Music

The Basic Guides provide an overview of fundamental topics in each of the given subject areas. The Art Basic Guide covers topics such as techniques and styles, genres of art, and major periods and movements in art history. The Economics Basic Guide reviews fundamental economic concepts and other topics in macro and microeconomics. The Language and Literature Basic Guide assists students with key terms and concepts relevant to the study of literature and provides an overview of major literary genres and forms. The guide also includes a glossary with brief definitions of important literary terms. The Math Basic Guide offers a general overview of major topics in high school math, including algebra, geometry, trig, calculus, and statistics. The Math Basic Guide can be downloaded at no cost. The Music Basic Guide presents a general introduction to music appreciation. This guide helps students understand the basic elements of musical compositions. The guide includes an overview of major stylistic periods in Western music history as well as a glossary of important terms. As these Basic Guides provide information on topics that generally do not change from year to year, teams can retain their Basic Guides for use year after year. Thus, each Basic Guide offers coaches a guide that is both a useful primer and a cost-efficient resource.
